Overview

What salaried ITR filing actually involves

Salaried individuals report salary, perquisites, and other income — usually on ITR-1 or ITR-2.
Every year brings a regime choice: the new regime's lower rates vs the old regime's deductions.
The return must reconcile with Form 16, Form 26AS, and the Annual Information Statement (AIS).
The standard due date is 31 July; late filing draws fees, interest, and loss of carry-forward benefits.

Benefits

Why salaried professionals file through us

Open each benefit to see what it means for you.

Regime comparison, computed

Old regime vs new regime is a math problem, not a guess. We compute your tax under both and file under the one that costs less.

Every deduction claimed

HRA, 80C, 80D, NPS, home loan interest — every deduction you qualify for gets claimed with the proof the portal expects.

Reconciled with 26AS/AIS

Form 16, 26AS, AIS — all three must tell the same story. We reconcile them before filing so the return doesn't invite a mismatch notice.

Messy salary years handled

Switched jobs, got a bonus, exercised ESOPs, earned freelance income on the side — messy salary years are our normal. We sort the income heads properly.

Documents

Documents you will usually need

Clear, current documents matter more than a long checklist. Names, dates of birth and addresses should match across records.

Process

How we file your salary return

You’ll see each stage, what’s pending and what we need from you — so filings don’t bounce back.

Step 1 of 4

Reconcile all three sources

Form 16, 26AS, and AIS are pulled together and matched — mismatches are fixed before filing, not after.

Compare both regimes

Your tax is computed under both regimes with your actual deductions. The lower number wins.

Claim every deduction

HRA, 80C, 80D, NPS, and other claims are applied with proper documentation.

File and verify

The return is filed under your PAN, e-verified, and the acknowledgement is shared with you.

If a founder or investor is outside India

Foreign ownership is possible in many sectors, but it adds document authentication, banking and FEMA work. Set the route before funds move.

Plan before you start

  • Check whether your sector permits automatic-route foreign investment
  • Confirm the Indian resident director arrangement
  • Map ownership, beneficial ownership and pricing
  • Allow time for apostilled or consularised documents

Plan for after setup

  • Receive funds through permitted banking channels
  • Complete RBI/FEMA reporting and keep the bank evidence
  • Coordinate tax and ongoing compliance advice early

ITR-1 for straightforward salary income up to ₹50 lakh with one house property. ITR-2 if you have capital gains, more than one house property, or foreign assets. We confirm after seeing your papers.
Whoever's computation shows lower tax. The new regime has lower rates but almost no deductions; the old regime keeps deductions. We run both numbers every year — the answer changes.
31 July for most salaried individuals. File late and you pay a fee (₹5,000, or ₹1,000 under ₹5 lakh income), lose carry-forward of losses, and pay interest on any tax due.
Yes — report it under the right head. Salary TDS doesn't cover it, so there may be tax to pay. Unreported income is exactly what AIS mismatch notices are built to catch.
File a revised return by 31 December of the assessment year. After that, an updated return (ITR-U) is possible with additional tax. Either way, fix it — don't hope it goes unnoticed.
No. Anyone can prepare it, but it is filed under your PAN and verified by you. Be wary of anyone who offers to file without your involvement.
