PROCEDURE OF CHANGING COMPANY NAME

Calling Board Meeting
A Board meeting is convened to discuss name change and a Board member, or Company secretary is asked to file with MCA for availability of name.

Receiving approval of the name by MCA
Once MCA scrutinize the Name application, it approves by a mail and the authorized person applies for name change.

Convene General Meeting
Once the name is available, the Company is required to convene a General Meeting and pass Special Resolution for change of name and amendment in MOA & AOA.

Filing Resolution (MGT-14) with ROC
At this stage, Company Registrar will issue new COI, and finally Memorandum of Association and Article of Association are amended to reflect change in company name

Applying for approval (INC-24) by Central Government
Finally, a Form (INC-24) needs to be filed to Indian Central Government to give effect to Name Change. Upon acceptance, Company name will finally be changed
