Procedure for Trademark Assignment

Filing of Application
An application for trademark assignment is made in prescribed form and can make a joint application for assignment of trademark and is required to file the application with Registrar of Trademark.

Publish an Advertisement
It is required to publish an advertisement in such form and manner and within such period as registrar may direct.

Submitted to Registrar
A copy of advertisement of trademark assignment along with the necessary documents must be submitted to the registrar.

Assign the Trademark
Once the registrar is satisfied, it assigns the trademark to assignee as the proprietor of trademark and all the particulars of assignment to be entered in the register.
