Process for Marriage Registration

Legal Consultation
The first step for the marriage registration is to get proper consultancy from our experts. They will describe the process and documents required.

Preparation of Documents
Once the parties ready, we proceed to prepare the necessary documents including the affidavits by bride and groom and taking appointment.

Notice of Marriage
A notice of marriage is required to be given to the marriage officer in advance where any of the parties have resided. Parties need to give the notice in writing in the prescribed format under Section 5.

Publication of Notice
The marriage Officer will publish the notice for inviting objection and the notice is open for objection for 30 days. If no objection received, the Marriage shall occur.

Appointment at the District Court
The parties along with the witness who attended the marriage need to visit the District Court with the documents to complete the other formalities

Marriage Registration Certificate
Upon the verification of documents submitted by parties, the SDM will provide the registration certificate in 24-48 hours in tatkal service and in 21 to 30 days in normal service.
