Getting the main objects right matters. Your company is expected to operate within the activities listed in its MOA, and taking up a completely new line of business later means formally altering the memorandum. The sample clauses below show how main objects are typically worded for this business type. Use them as a drafting starting point, and have a Company Secretary or legal professional review the final version before filing.
1. To carry on the business of millers in all its branches and to set up mills for milling wheat, gram, other grains and cereals, dal, basin, maida, atta, suji and other allied products, and to manufacture food products; such as biscuit, flakes, dalia and confectionery from flours or all kinds and description and to set up factories or mills for the manufacture thereof.
2. To carry on the business of producing, extracting, refining, storing, exporting, importing, transporting and dealing in flour of all kinds and description whatsoever and to construct and run flour mills of any kinds or description.
3. To carry on business as manufacturers, producers, processors, importers, exporters, traders, buyers, sellers, retailers, wholesalers, suppliers, indenters, packers, movers, stockists, agents, sub-agents, merchants, distributors, consignors, jobbers, brokers, concessionaires or otherwise deal in all machinery used in the manufacture of flour, dal, basin, biscuit, flakes and allied products.
